On December 7, 2023, the SWR Symphonieorchester (Southwest German Radio Symphony Orchestra) under the direction of Teodor Currentzis will perform works by Gustav Mahler, Mark Andre, Philippe Manoury, Alexey Retinsky and Jay Schwartz. The concert in the Beethoven Hall of the Stuttgart Liederhalle begins at 8 p.m. In addition to the Adagio from Mahler’s Symphony No. 10, there will be three first performances and a German premiere, which, by taking up the scoring of the Adagio movement, refer compositionally to Mahler’s unfinished symphony.
