The Young Scholars Award for Gustav Mahler Research was initiated in 2024 by the International Gustav Mahler Society (IGMS) and awarded for the first time in 2025. The award aims to promote scholarly research on Gustav Mahler, his biography, his work, its reception and interpretation, his era, and his contemporaries from current perspectives and with the help of current methods.
