The definitive listing of Mahler's concert programs has always been Knud Martner's out-of-print and hard-to-get German book "Gustav Mahler im Konzertsaal" (1985). Fortunately, the Kaplan Foundation will publish Martner's second edition of this reference work in late 2008 or early 2009, revised and expanded. The new edition, in English, will be entitled "Mahler's Concerts" and will contain historical notes for each concert, listings of opus numbers, keys and soloists, names of orchestras and halls, references to reviews, printed programs, and listings for concerts which Mahler accompanied at the piano. .
