Iglau (Moravia, today Jihlava in the Czech Republic)
Znaimergasse Nos. 4 and 6: residence of the Mahler family during Gustav's childhood.
From October 22, 1860 until 1873 the family lived in Znaimergasse 4; in 1872 Mahler's father bought and renovated No. 6: The inn was at the front on the ground floor, the distillery at the back, and the family lived on the second floor.
Memorial tablet mounted in 1960. The renovated houses belong to the city of Jihlava. Exhibitions, concerts, symposia. Open to the public.
